Default Follow up on LS430 strut

After looking closer at my new strut installation, I also noticed that the bottom of the strut where it bolts to the support arm of the car is not parallel and flush up against the holes. Its bolted in at an angle as though it is twisted. It's flush on the inside of the support and about a 1/2 inch gap on the outside. I checked the other side of the car and found that it is aligned perfectly with the support and bolt with no gap. Gotta be something wrong here. I just worry about what kind of damage this might be causing.
