Default Black Pkg Not Gold

Thanks everyone ahead of time. I have a '97 gold LS 400 with gold package. I am tired of the look. I am going to black out my standard Lexus wheels and black out my gold emblem package. Is it better to re-order a gold package and paint them or paint over my existing gold package? This may have been addressed many times, but I didn't see it. Happy driving...:

Black out the existing emblems and leave it at that. Don't bother painting up nice new badges. If you really want to keep them with the car then leave your golds alone and buy a cheap set of chrome ones on eBay and paint those up.

In my opinion blacked out factory wheels is the tackiest "mod" out there. Leave those OEM wheels alone. Thats more fitting on a Chevy Cavalier or Honda Civic.

Just use plasti dip on the stuff, then it can be pealed off when it wears out or you need to go back to stock.

I agree with Dicer on this one. Plasti dipping the badges is the easiest way. No real hassle, and you can peel it off and redo it whenever you want, especially if you make a mistake.

when using plastidip my experience is to put a heavier coating than you would with paint. it makes removal much easier! a thin coat will be very hard to extract.

I also purchased OEM mudguards from the same Ebay seller in Japan. The fitment and paint matching is perfect. I highly recommend these despite the high price tag ($339 + $46 shipping).
I didn't do any drilling or screwing on the rear flaps. The single push fastener and double sided adhesive tape should be enough to hold it in place.

How did you specify the color when you ordered through this ebay seller? I tried to contact him and he never replied to my request.
