Default Removing center vents and A-pillar trim

1998 ls400

Hello all, im going to be installing a double din radio and have done a lot of research here but cant seem to find some info.

I have read that there are clips on the sides of vents, but do I need to stick a screwdriver through the vents to get the clips or outside the vents between the vents and dash?

Also I want to run a wire up the driver side A-pillar for a mic im going to put above the rear view mirror, but not sure how to loosen the trim.

Those are my main concerns right now, but im sure i'll have more questions down the road.
TIA

A quick Google search will bring up solutions.

You may want to measure the length of that mic track as the cable may not be long enough...

I recently removed mine to sort out some radio issues I was having. The vents were giving me a hard time because I could not find the clips that everyone was talking about. Turns out mine did not have clips (PO may have broken them off or something). I got my vents off by prying from the outside edge of them between the dash. Took me about an hour of trying to find the clips before I did this lol

Sorry, I missed the first post. The pics were from a 1996. Ignore.
