I'm currently in the market for a '98-'00 LS400 and I'm brand new to the forum.

I'm wondering if anybody has the dimensions for the compartment on the left in the top glove box? The empty space to the left of the cd changer. I'm trying to figure out if I can mount a Uniden 510 CB Radio in there as far as height and width go. Length not worried about because I'd dremel out the back for the power, antenna, & six speaker. I road trip a lot and a CB is essential. Maybe someone has done this but I haven't seen anything.




If it won't fit without heavy modifying then it's not a big deal as I would purchase a different CB and figure out where to put it. Uniden 980SSB most likely. Does anybody on here have CB install pics to share?

By my measurements, the opening is approximately 5-1/2" wide, 2-1/8" tall and 6" deep.
