Ahhh..... damnit.... I think I've been blasting my music too loud.... and Im pretty sure i shot my my subwoofer. I have the Nakamichi sound system in my 92 LS.

Anybody know where i can get a replacement for it.... or anyone know of a better sub that would fit right in?

I read about the earlier post... but i'm pretty sure the sub is different for teh nakamichi package....


just out of curiosity.... i haven't had time to do my usual readings.... what is the new premium sounds in lexus now? mark levinson still?

The stock subwoofer is a 2 piece unit (subwoofer and mount) which is sold as 1. The pioneer subwoofer runs about $300 from the delaer, not sureabout the Nakamichi speaker.

At this point you have a couple options..

1. replace it from the dealer
2. replace it with a custom aftermarket setup (look around - many have done this here)
3. rip (cut) the subwoofer out of the metal mount - drill holes to match an after market sub and replace.

I'm thinkin of gettin a replacement... but... anybody have any specs on the Nakamichi built-in amp, subwoofer power, etc.,etc., so i can find a good replacement

I'm interested in seeing what the Nak sub looks like with this mounting thing. Can you take pics and post them? Anyway, if you blew your sub I think you should get a aftermarket sub and amp, you'll have much more bass then.

Mark Levinson is the top sound sys in Lexus now. It's kind of an audiophile type of brand, very pricey. I'd like to hear the ML sys sometime.
