95LS starts to die after a minute of driving
Maaaaan, I cant explain my excitement when I finally got around to putting a new alternator and battery in my beloved wrecked 95 LS400 and got to drive it comfortably for the first time in about 6 months. Drove it around town for maybe 20 minutes then I noticed the gauges looked a little dim, didnt think too much of it until the radio started cutting in and out when there was any bass in a song. Headlines started getting dimmer and it was all really dim as I was parking it.
This morning I went ahead and started it again just to check on it, started with no problem so I drove it around the block and once again it started dying right around the corner from my house.
I really hope its not the ECU because fuhhhh messing with the capacitors. Any ideas where to check for the problem?

Sounds like your new alternator is getting pissed on by the PS pump
Was the old one covered in fluid? Is your ps pump leaking?
When your headlights begin to dim, put a multimeter on the battery terminals to verify your alternator is working.
My battery voltage is normally between 14.0v and 14.3v when the engine is running at 1200rpm, and around 13.2v at 600rpm.

What alternator did you use? Does it have a genuine Denso regulator inside?
I have seen many remanufactured alternators failed in a year or less. All of those had regulators different from Denso's.

Not entirely sure on what brand the alternator was, Im gonna go home and check that.
The old one had been going out for awhile but it wasnt covered in ps fluid, so not sure on that.
Terminals are corrosion free and tight, heres another thing now.
I went to start it last night to just make sure it'll turn on and nope, lights will come on but the car won't start again.
