Default For all my mechanics here

What kind of money am I looking at for getting a new powersteering system put in? I'm pretty confident I can do it my self. But I do tend to put things off for a bit (pretty much lazy) . If it's close to the price of a new pump with lines I'd rather do that then having to work on it my self

what do you mean a new "system"?

There's a lot there, depends what you're looking to replace.

Sorry meaning your normal power steering issues that you get with The LS. Swapping just the lines and pump out for new.

Pump isn't bad, $130-$150 if I remember right. The lines are another story, $200 each or something silly. Luckily just the pump and new crush washers / o-rings on the connections to the pump solved my issues. I also had to replace the low pressure hoses to the reservoir since they were so hard/brittle which came out to $50 or so. Deleted the idle control valve with a $1.50 bolt from home depot, removed the two hoses and capped the fittings on the intake/manifold.

aftermarket lines are cheap and work perfectly fine. I've bought a high pressure line for like $60.

You can also have your old line rebuilt at a hydraulic hose shop, about the same price though.
