Default 1998-2000 Lexus LS400 Reliable High Output Alternator

In the process of changing the alternator in my 1999 Lexus LS400, any thoughts or suggestions in upgrading to a High Output version? I understand certain OEM parts is the way to go. Reason being this will involve high watts sound system to air suspension upgrade, etc. Just want to make sure all the factory electricals maintains sufficient current flow as needed. Anybody installed a Mechman 240amp alternator or any other H/O brand in their 99 LS400 without issues?

A 6-phase alternator is an excellent idea...however here is my experience...Mechman has been challenged returning calls and responding to e-mails; has failed to provide requested data sheets, cannot fully advise if their unit mates with standard LS400 Alternator engine wiring harness (alternator mating connector; early LS400 is round and later Oval..otherwise are they providing a wiring harness connector shell with contacts?...not just a pigtail hack and splice like universal fit oxygen sensors), stock positive terminal cable is I believe 6 gauge...is this adequate??what gauges does mechman recommend??, will negative grounds require upgrade?, will it work with stock belt length? (discussion was had that the pulley size "might" be different necessitating trial and error serpentine belt fitment) will the stock serpentine belt tensioner maintain reliability and manage to maintain proper belt tension with high amp alternator...see attached damper kit image, (the smaller pulley diameter mechman utilizes means less belt purchase-opportunity for slippage??, What is Alternator turn-on RPM??... 600 for their higher amp units??(and with smaller diameter pulley) What is turn on/orr voltage???(do they know if it matches OEM), 1998-2000 LS400 idles approximately 575-650 RPM...at times I see 500-550 in drive..(which may explain smaller diametet pulley) Perhaps the situation has improved at mechman but unless and until they are willing to spell it out for you...what I mean by that is having mechman provide documents supporting claims, and true plug-and-play, then hold off. On information newer Lexus models employ 6 phase alternators...would like to hear if a Denso upgrade is available from Toyota/Leus parts bin that will work in LS400..(Lexus offers correct wiring harness connector shells, and if necessary, contacts) Please post any response mechman provides along with PDF's containing necessary data sheets for members who wish to chime in. Much obliged.
