Default Is there an instructional guide to replace the AC Vent where you put Phone mounts on?

I mistakenly twisted my cell phone mount that you put on the AC the wrong way and it broke on of the plastic pieces on my AC vent on my 1990 Lexus LS 400.

I'm looking to replace it.

Is there an instructional guide somewhere to easily remove this part with a new one? I can't seem to find one?

Anyone have any luck trying to do this?

Should I try adding glue to seal it back together. Looks tedious as my hands are huge and I don't want to leave a mess job of white goo all over the ac?

Sorry, 1990 Lexus LS 400, I have another 1991 Lexus LS 400 in a different color, is there a way to interchange those vents?

Do you mean the center vents above the radio?
He did not disconnect the battery. You need to disconnect it.
I start prying the airvent at the top, and notice its a plastic pry bar.

Wow, thanks for the vid,

Looks like so much work to remove the plastic piece though, looks like there's a screw underneath it to disassemble it and this is the only way, it's a start

No to just remove the ac vent at the top you just pry it out easily like in the pic, start at the top don't ruin the dash pad though, or just do it like they did. The screws are for removing the radio and climate control assembly.
You don't remove any of the bottom stuff he did to remove just that vent assembly at the top. For just the vent you don't need to disconnect the battery.
But if you remove the radio then yes.

If you haven't discovered this already, here's a tip. Once you get the top vent out and the faceplate off you will notice that you can either swap out the entire piece or replace individual vanes. Caution: if you remove the side retaining clips (circled) you will quickly have a handful of small pieces which are not easy to reassemble. Trust me - I learned that one the hard way. Btw, this is from a '98. Good luck.
