Buddy

I dont know what year you LS is but my 98 is plenty Fast.

0-60 in about 6.5 second is fast enough!!

My 91 even was fast for its size and year. Well ok Not Fast but it had pleny of get up and go.

Ken,

That 1st gen LS is a real dog. The trans isn't geared for rapid acceleration. It's also very heavy. If you move up to the 95-97 model, you'll notice a huge improvement in acceleration as the car is geared better and is lighter. The jump to the 98-00 model will give you even better acceleration. And the 01+ is even faster still. It seems when Lexus makes any major changes, those changes include more power and improvements getting that power to the ground, which is very nice.

Smile Lexus Power

If I wanted REAL power I would have purchased a Corvette with 405 horses, or some other type "race" car. I love the power my '03 LS has, enough to easily pass that truck hauling 3 trailors, or the little old lady slowely going around moutain curves when you have clearance for miles. As for me, I am happy just having my Lexus and know there are some faster, but more that are slower than mine. Plus, IMHO, no one is more comfortable!!!

There are plenty of SUVs in my area that like to tailgate other vehicles in the fast lane. They must think the large size and heavy weight of their SUVs equal to faster acceleration and higher top end
