Good Day guys!
I just joined CL and very excited to get my 96 ls400 roadworthy again. I live in the caribbean and getting oem parts for it is quite challenging.
I bought the car from an older lady who thought the timing belt broke on it. It took me several weeks to convince her to sell....anyways, turns out that the fuel tank and delivery assembly was shot.
I went ahead and changed belts, water pump, and all the other stuff on the front of the engine anyway. But now I am stuck cause I cant find a decent used tank that is not rusted on the inside. I have found new tanks, but at $1400 ea. Dont want to spend that much on a tank when i spent less than half of that for the car.
Got lots of plans for the car. In one more year it becomes a classic......i think. So I would like to have it finished and running by then. Can someone help me locate a good tank? A new tank would be preferred but at a much lower price.
Thanks!!
Talk to you soon!
