You don't see many with cloth interior.

My 97LS has the standard gold package with badges etc.Much to my surprise it also has gold cladding with front and rear bumpers included.It seems to be the only one around as I have searched for another for many years.Any one know of another?

The 1997 Coach Edition. Only 2,500 made. Real coach leather seats, embossed coach logos on the armrests and headrests along with picnic tray tables in the seat backs, like Rolls Royce saloons. My favorite is that they came with coach luggage.

More than likely a dealer-installed electroplating option.

BTW, it's not real gold...

as for 1st gens, and i'm not sure how rare, but i noticed the maroon on maroon cars IN CLOTH are not common!

i love my 93s combo..
jade green two tone with gold package on all the emblems, grey cloth, with nak radio and no trac...
perfect old man cruiser ;D

How common is the maroon on maroon? Leather

yep it's very likely a dealer installed option. many dealers put their own touches to their cars to sell to their market, from aftermarket alarm systems, to badging, to wheel/tire packages, even wheel locks and all weather floor mats, etc.

florida likes their gold...

There is someone on this forum in the middle east with a gen1 black LS, with the maroon interior who has some sort of rear a/c option that was not available in the US... it has the vents in the ceiling like we started getting on the 2001+ LS430 ultra luxury package.....

I would say that counts as rare in my book...

The 1994 5th Anniversary edition cars are pretty rare stateside--approximately 1000 were made in a one-year only color ("Warm Gray Pearlcoat"; a similar color was available on the '04 LS430). Loaded with the usual options, bespoke floor mats, rare Enkei-made rims.
