Xenoblade

Hi,

I get a strange electronic beeping sound sometimes in my 95 LS400. It's a single constant tone that lasts for a few seconds. I can't replicate it as it only happens every now & then & rarely. It mostly happens in this scenario. I put my seatbelt on & start the car in the morning. I then put my foot on the break & put the gear selector into drive & it's around then that the beeping happens. It generally only happens once & then is fine for the rest of the day. It's happened 4 times in the 5 months I've owned the car but only started doing it around 1 month ago. Today, that happened but then afterwards, I took the handbrake off & it beeped again which it doesn't normally do. Nothing shows up on the dash. No icons or lights show up & it doesn't seem too affect anything. It's just annoying. What could this be!? I have no idea.

So, any ideas are much appreciated. Please help me figure out what it could be! Is it some sensor I need to change? Why is it beeping? Is it trying to tell me something?

My IS300 chimes when I pull the handbrake while I'm driving.

Might be the same type of system and yours is a little faulty. I'll try it in my LS tonight.

Not sure. My handbrake is on the floor & I've never tried it. Let me know how you go.
