Hi,

I tried looking but couldn't not find anything specific to my questions anywhere. I would like to know first off, what are the actual specs including size and wattage of 95 Lexus LS400 factory speakers?? All I know is that the sub is a free air, 8 inch 2 ohms Pioneer sub rated at 40 watts (or so I have heard. Correct me if I am wrong.) Anyway what about the tweeters, front and rear door speakers? Are they 4.5 inches? 4? And how many watts? Also, can you give me the specs of the stock amp too? And where is the factory amp located?

I am installing another head unit. Double DIN Alpine. I am thinking of also installing aftermarket speakers and a sub that will fit into the same spot as the factory original, the rear parcel shelf. I don't really know what my options are at the moment. I don't want to lose trunk space so that's not an option for me. But I would like a sub that would fit in nicely without having to mod too much. Or at least minimal modding. Also, would I have to do any any mods or anything to fit say a 6.5 inch speakers into the front and rear doors? And what size would fit right in the doors without any hassle?

I'm really new to all this as I've barely owned the car for long and so any information you can help me with is highly appreciated and welcome.

Thanks but I read all that before I made my thread as my specific answers were not there. I want to know what size my factory speaker sizes are for example. I heard the first gen is 4 inches but what about the second gen? I've heard many conflicting things. Some say it's the same at 4 inches, other's say it's 5.25. I'd like to know exactly.

the '95-97 and '98-00 use different door speaker sizes iirc, hence your mild confusion.

Thanks. I wasn't confused about that, I'm aware of it. I'd just like to know what are the factory speaker sizes for the 1995 LS400?? I can't seem to get any answers. Even rang Lexus & not even they knew. Do you know?
