How to change the cabin air filter in a 91 Lexus?
Hi
How can I change the cabin air filter in my 91 Lexus? Whenever I turn on the A/C it smells like mold.
I tried looking in my manual but I can't find where it explains how to replace it.
Any help is appreciated
Thanks

Yes, there is no cabin air filter in the '91. When I used to get a moldy smell, I would do 2 things that seemed to help:
1. with the AC blowing at full speed (car parked), spray Lysol directly into the outside air intakes that are behind the engine and at the bottom of the windshield. This kills things growing in the HVAC system.
2. drive with the heater on max heat for a while. Roll down the windows to regulate heat inside. This cooks things living in the HVAC system.
There is a chance your AC evaporator drain tube is clogged. You should get some condensation dripping on the ground after running the AC. If not, look for the hose and check it.
