Default LS400 Backup / Reverse Camera

Wonder if any of you have installed a back up / reverse camera on your LS400 and what would you recommend? The LS400 is pretty long and sometimes it is a bit hard to gauge where the tail is.

Thanks!

Yeah I am going to tint my windows so this is going to be helpful. How difficult was it to install? Or did you have a professional place install it for you and how much?

I have mine hooked up right now without the reverse turn-on feature. I didn't want to run a hot wire all the way from the back to the deck when a source for reverse can be found up front.

I have a Jensen VX7020 deck with the http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...VTL300CIR.html plate frame camera. i was going to get a stealthier camera but all of them seemed to lack some of the features you want.... I also bought that camera on sale so it might not be the best deal right now.

I also got everything from Sonic

The video wire for my camera actually came with a wire already installed into the video wire.

So I tapped into the reverse light on the trunk and hooked the wire to the reverse signal on the back of the radio.

So when the reverse lights come on, they power the camera and also tell the radio that the car is in reverse.

I picked up a BCAM3 Rear Backup Camera the same time I was replacing the head unit so it didn't add much. I can also have it on while driving although I don't see the point.

Fantastic installation, can't even tell there is a camera. How did you thread the cable back into the trunk? Via the license plate lights? Can you post some close up of your installation? What about the video monitor, do you have a head unit with LCD screen? I also have a 1993 LS400, same color! Sweet ride!

Ah, mine is too low to want to stare it and being mounted on one of the plate screw holes it's not a straight on view anyway. I wouldn't recognize a cop car.
