Default LS400 MY 1995 AC Bypass Belt to use PN KO60630 6K630

I have found the answer for the belt length for the AC removal for a 1995 LS400. The clutch on mine has a bad bearing. Looks like the spindle for the compressor is broken about a third of the way around where the groove is for the snap ring.... ...

I saw someone said that it needed to be a 64 inch belt. Well Autozone did not have one. I used a string and measured 63 with the tensioner all the way tight and 65 with it all the way loose. splitting the difference at 64. I went to O'reillys, They had a 63 5/8 and a 64 3/8. I bought both but, the 63 5/8 worked just fine. KO60630 6K630 Made by Masterpro. Here is the picture of the sleeve. Works great. I know another member states what the length needs to be but I thought I would put the part number out there to help someone else out.

15mm wrench is needed to adjust the tensioner.

hmm never heard of anyone trying to bypass the compressor before, but good info if you remove the compressor completely.

btw, the tensioner is a 14mm, as a 15mm is a rare size for a japanese car.

Mine is a 15. I did replace the entire assembly from Rockauto so it is possible that the aftermarket one is a slightly different size.

Please re-read. "The clutch on mine has a bad bearing."

I have pro-actively removed the clutch assembly and still wanted to drive my car with power steering and an alternator. The fan is probably not needed as it is cold but the other two are needed for long distances.

I have removed the bearing and have pressed the new one in. The old bearing was shot.

Not sure when I will have it back together but I will do everything in my power not to run around this HOT summer town without AC. It might become a winter car only.
