Default '98 LS400 Sending Unit

My fuel gauge reads full untl the tank is about 1/2, and then it lowers a little and ends up at 1/2 when the tank is empty.

From reading in the forum, I thought there was easy access to the tank from the trunk to check out the sending unit. I stripped the bottom carpet and don't see any access points.

Where exactly is the access to the sending unit? Thanks, Ed

Well, it's behind the back seat so you have to remove the cover in the trunk behind the seat.

Perfect thank you. What manual are you referencing and where can I get one? Thanks again.
