Default Climate control LED size?

Long time lurker, first post.

I recently picked up a 1995 LS400 with 185,xxx miles and have been fixing up the little things.

So some of my climate control lights have burned out and i was wanting to replace them with these:

http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...pecs%2FNEO.htm

i just can't find what size. I have been searching on here and i think they are 3mm (T-1) but i would like to be sure before i order.

Also has anyone one used these? any downsides compared to factory?

I'm talking about the twist bulbs that light up the buttons not the LCD. I wanted to hopefully replace the $9 twist bulbs from lexus with $2 twist LED bulbs from superbrightleds.com

and yes it is very easy to take apart.

I followed this tutorial and it was very helpful as well as straightforward.
Goodluck!

T1.5, I suggest single LED for the 3 screen bulbs, then something larger/brighter for the buttons, single LED for the buttons is far too dim

an FYI, i'm not sure when they changed them but the '98-00 AC/Climate Controls are for sure the later NEO-Wedge hybrid style twist bulbs.

may want to crack yours open to see what kind it uses before ordering any LEDs.

I don't want to hijack this thread but I was about to post a question very similar so I decided to jump in here.

Sneaky82 is asking about a 1995 model and the material in the links that he has been directed to is for a 1990-1994 model. Is it just widely understood that a 1995 model (or my 1996) is the same as the first generation models?

What I would like to do is change the color of my instrument lights as well as my the rest of my dash lights from green to red. I don't want to convert to LED because I don't want to loose the dimming capability. Everything I find online points to information about the first gen cars. Can Sneaky82 and myself assume that ours is the same as the first gen?

On my 1996, would I just replace the bulbs with red ones?

When i changed mine out, i was told it was the t1.5 from lexls' tutorial so i ordered them but they didn't fit. I ended up having to order the neo ones. They fit but it was a very tight fit.

I was searching to find what size LED I need for my climate control. I was about to order T1.5 LED lights and it was mentioned that they did not fit. Can anybody tell me what size LED lights I need to get? T1.5 or NEO LED and the size?

this might be a bit late but i had to figure it out too, i saw on lexls.com that it was T1.5 bulbs and it wasnt but i forced it in cause i already paid for that ****. Anyways after a year later i decided to do it properly and its NEO5-x they fit great!. if some bulbs dont turn on just rotate it 180 and put them in again, they should turn on after.
