Default airbag light flashing..?

I changed my front and rear seatbelts, on the front passenger i used a used assembly, on the driver side i wound in a black belt on my stock retractor assembly. I also dont have headlights inb currently, started it up and the airbag light is flashing...how come? The connectors are plugged in and fine? Any ideas how to trace this down? This is on my 2000.

anyone have an idea to this? i read elesewhere a guy swapped belts and had the light flash, he swapped back to his old belts and same thing, thread wasnt resolved tho.

Another guy pulled his syteering wheel airbag out, waited overnight (im sure 10 mins will suffice) and it went away, as the SRS module has stored memory?

ima try that today, just the 4 screws behind the bag i think, lets see what happens.

I think it would be easier to yank one of the battery cables overnight instead

if you didn't pull the negative battery cable, and had the ignition on at any point with one or both the seat bels harnesses disconnected, the module likely noted the seatbelts being disconnected, and is throwing a code.
pull the Neg terminal and see if that works...

also, fyi... pulling the seat belts or airbags with e battery connected and the ignition on is a great way to inadvertently trigger the airbags to deploy!
