The car started to exhibit rough or delayed starting until it finally wouldn't start anymore, just turnover. When I removed the ecu and examined the internals I found at least one to two caps with leg corrosion, but a third cap had completely leaked out and ate up another very small component and looked like it ate a small trace. I believe it was the cap in the C104 area.
In having the replacement ecu recapped the repairman offered to knock off the price if I sent in the old unit as he wanted to see if he could repair it. He mentioned the part that was ate up was a snubber cap. I have since contacted him while the package is on it's way to me tomorrow. I alerted him of the situation and he offered to swap ecus if it was too costly to have the one I bought flashed.
Guess I made a big mess of things.

With that situation, your ECU must have no idea to work properly. The very small component in the C104 area must be a ceramic capacitor but in order to give you a more detailed suggestion I need a clear photo to judge and to know how the traces are damaged. In the past I have fixed some ECUs that had damaged other components as well as lost some traces. I have needed to replace components assuming the value and also rewired those traces. The rsults were all successful except one but I have needed to spend many hours sometimes nealy a day.
This is one pic taken by phone so it isn't so clear. Other pics didn't quite turn out so good unfortunately.

Thanks for the photo.
I don't find C104 in your photo but as far as I see the right side of the part R410, it is a resistor. This is not a snubber cap. I must say that the guy who said so is not a professional. How can I trust him who can't recognize a simple resistor?
I could give you the resistance value if the photo was better. I can't reognize color rings well except the brown one. Will you inform me other color rings then I will let you know the resistance. Or send me a clearer photo which shows color better.
Anyway clean the board and replace capacitors. You also need to check the conductance of the traces around there too. If the conductance is none, try connecting both ends using thin wires. Regarding the registor R410, measure the resistance and compare with R411. If the difference is within 20%, don't worry too much and use the original for the time beeing. The 20% difference does not cause any serious problem, I bet.

Yeah after reviewing the pics in my phone there was more than just that one and that wasn't the area although it did show leakage. There's another but I can't seem to upload pics by phone.
Right now it's a gamble. I can't find anyone that can reflash in my area, and the repair of the original will not be known until late tomorrow. I guess this will taken as a loss worst case scenario.

Still the same. Your photos are out of order to identify the color.

Regarding to the surface mount capacitor, I think it is the same with the next one. Probably it's a 0.22uF 50V.
