How many pages do you guys have of records?? I have 13 and I think that's a lot, but I have a feeling many of you guys got me beat. Ours dropped from the radar at 59K miles when we bought it. At that time it was one page long. With a handful later, our dealer list is probably at 1.1 pages long. Service was performed by an independent shop or DIY then on. The receipt folder is 1" thick.

As a shopper for an LS, I was looking for a car that had been taken to the dealer for every single repair and maintenance item its entire life so that I could verify its service history with LexusDrivers. Now that I found and own such a car, I don't intend to ever let it see the inside of a dealership again.

Mines was about 4-5 pages when it came off a lease in 2003 then I bought it and have added about 4 services in the 11 years I've owned it.

dang... I thought for sure you guys would have a ton more pages then me... but I can tell the dealer wanted to kill the original owner because there is A LOT of petty stuff on there.... like antenna isn't retracting at the same speed and re-plating the gold, and even wiper blades....

Improved peace of mind when buying higher miles to see that the car had regular maintenance schedules. I don't document fluid changes or other little fixes, to monotonous in that lower price point.

most LS400s have receipts for early problems due to being under warranty. after warranty the car usually continues to be serviced by the dealership (which most sub $50k car owners did back in the day), or has a private mechanic take care of things. when the car changes ownership, things get lost or not transferred however. mine had nothing...

Mine goes all the way up till its at 130k and then it vanishes. but that's where I got the records from the PO doing it all himself. I thought for sure you guys would have a ton more than me... especially after the whole brake pad thread lol

I just keep all my old parts and pics as record of my maintenance history. I don't think I will ever sell the car though.

Yes and only because I'm a member of this forum and LOC. In case someone needs help on something I've done I can show the actual part and what not. I even have pics of most of the car with all the panels off even though I don't make DIY threads since most things are covered and that's how I did the job from reading those threads.

If I went back and collected every part ive ever replaced..... holy crap.... lol my LS4 is my 31st car. I already have a full 1970 charger hanging around in just parts.. someday ill get around to it lol! probably not before the engine gets robbed for something else. I still have Samurai parts and some fiat parts... occasionally I find DSM bits. but all my crap is in a storage unit now so I havnt taken inventory in a while.
