Default Rear seats...so small!

Guys I dont know how the ls 400 was made with americans in mind...im 6'3" 230 and cannot fit int he back seat in a porper sitting position. Only way I can get my head to fit is if i sit witha mad slouch. Also, not many people would be able to fit behind me with the way my front seat is positioned. I essentialy turned by big boat sedan into another 2 seater lol.

on a second gen LS, the back seat is actually quite generous compared to most vehicles! I had an Escalade ESV for about a year, and the LS actually smoked it in the rear legroom department, however that worked.

Granted i know how you feel, i am 6'4" and my hair touches the ceiling in the back

If you REALLY want to torture people, get an SC430. The rear seats in those are HILARIOUSLY aweful!

The LS400 is best driven. Rear seat size and headroom/legroom whilst better than some cars is a little tight. I'm a healthy 6 feet 8 though so maybe I see things differently to most?

I have my seat all the way back and I still fit behind my seat with room to spare... But I'm only 6' tall.
Average American/Canadian male is only like 5'9" and you are in the top 2-3% if your height is over 6'2", iirc.

My buddy who is 6'8" is the only person to complain about headroom in the back seat so far.

I'm 6'2 205 (with a mild gut... lol) and I can fit in the back without much issue. Worst case scenario, if my hair's on the long side at the time, some of it would make contact with the headliner.

Sitting in the rear seat behind the driver's seat after adjusting the driver's seat to fit me has long been one of the first things I do when evaluating a vehicle. Sometimes it's the first thing I do - like at a new car auto show when someone else is sitting in the drivers seat.

I have a prioritized - formerly written, now electronic - continually changing checklist of features I either require or want in a vehicle. My "must have" list is getting very long.

Anyone with sense enough to see if you and the misses can comfortable have a little romp in the back!

I'm like Kansas. I drive clients around so having a reasonable backseat is on the checklist when purchasing. Most the people I drive are not taller than 6' so in that regard the LS has been fine. The 430 and 460's are more generous in the backseat dept. The 460L variant is even nicer.
