KYB GR-2S--How long do they last?
I put on a set of these about 60,000-70,000 miles ago and it seems I need to replace them. Is this the approximate life of these struts?
Also, I was never quite satisfied with the ride as it stiffened up too much, so I'm not sure I'd go with them again, however, I think I read somewhere that changing the springs with these will make the ride approximate the OEM struts. Is that true? Thanks.

depends purely on driving conditions and habits, i know multiple people with 100,000k plus miles so I would say you experienced atypical wear.
Springs won't make any difference as these are meant to be used with OEM springs, and if anything they ride softer and more float as they wear in, not less.
