What would be the best replacement radiator for my 97 LS 400?

well the genuine Toyota radiator, of course! - but once you see the price, you might want to opt for a Ready-Rad from Advance Auto Parts - they are decent

if your car has less than 250-300K miles, the problem is likely not the radiator, especially if the Toyota red coolant was used mostly throughout the car's life - as the stock original radiators rarely fail.

koyo
ready rad..proliance and many others are mostly Chinese made with different names on them. and radiators do fail..mine did, u have no idea what type of maintenance has been done, people read on the side of the coolant bottles that the coolant is good for 50,000 miles or longer, this simply isn't true. coolant should be changed every
2-3 years and no longer than 30,000 miles to prevent corrosion. you own a diesel engine? toss this in to prevent cavitation

A Denso #2214101 radiator is 68 dollars at Rockauto.

It's a bargain if it is OEM.

FYI i recently bought a denso rad from the dealer for my IS300 ($280), and it was made in china...where the original one was made in japan. fit just perfectly but it's a radiator. i'm a fan of koyo OEM replacements.

Even if the Nissens (Danish company, IIRC) is most expensive of the list it's not that bad. I have been quite happy with Nissens in the past - at least my -89 MR2 received a Nissens radiator.
