I'm new to Lexus but I've already found out that a number of parts are understandably shared with Toyota and the Toyota prices are much cheaper [plus the dealer is local whereas Lexus isn't!].
My question is, does anyone have a comprehensive list of matching parts - I know some sensors are the same - e.g. the LS400 ECT sensor is about half price at Toyota and has the same part number - but are there any others? I'm guessing its going to be the generic parts but if I can save money on genuine parts by buying Toyota I'm more than happy to.

I've not ventured into this much. Just recently the O-ring on the radiator drain **** wore in. I went to the nearest shop to inquire about the parts. The local Lexus didn't have that O-ring so I went to Toyota next door. Cost $6.95. (he just compared the O-ring and matched it with what they had.) Wanting to verify the O-ring, I stopped by a different Lexus dealer, his cost for that ring was $3.95. Coolant for the unmixed long life at Toyota was $31. Lexus dealer was $28.50.

For certain parts there will be some overlap but one has to call around and there is unfortunately not a cross reference for part #'s. (At least my Toyota parts guy hasn't mentioned to me.) I find it much easier to use Sewell and the Club Lexus discount makes it easy. Carson Toyota which is local and I use with some regularity isn't always less $$.

If you have a competing ad, for generic consumables, the parts departments will often price match.

what I do, is to first locate the correct Toyota part number for the part at a brick & mortar or online Lexus dealership (such as Lexus of South Atlanta, Park Place, Sewell, Lexus Parts Now, etc,), then I throw that part number into the search box on the red bar here, if it crosses over to a part at the Toyota dealership, it will show up as a valid part on that search with a description!
