go to napa and get them, they are reboxed oem,or the dealership. u need to get the connectors/pigtails..get those from the dealer.
if u haven't,u might as well do ur starter while ur in there..buy denso only!
I already did the starter. Made the mistake of not checking the knock sensors. I bought a re-man Autozone starter for $ 100.00 with discount and it works perfect. Any reason why I should not buy one of the reasonably priced sensors on E-bay? There is a wide price range on sensors for the LS on E-bay. Old starter had other problems besides the ones that the repair kit could fix. Also got a lifetime warrenty on the Autozone starter.
I still say that I would skip the routine replacement of knock sensors, if the only reliable choice is the OEM sensors and pigtails, at a cost of $500+ on an old car for a part that rarely fails - now if someone has experience with an aftermarket knock sensor that performs like the OEM sensor and has been reliable and is cheap, then I could definitely get on board with that, but I have not seen many knock sensor failures, and so have no idea which aftermarket sensor is good quality, if any are.
also, the knock sensors are far more critical for the folks who insist on running regular octane gas, or folks who live in countries where the quality of the gas is often sub-par.
either way it makes absolutely no sense to go into the valley of death on these engines and not replace these sensors while ur in there...an ounce of prevention is worth what?
