I thought this was an interesting find....
While flipping through an ancient VIP style magazine from Japan I spotted this....
Has any one ever seen this before?
According to my sketchy Japanese translation it is a "Celsior Wagon Kit" made by E&G Classics. It is a fiberglass top that's covered in canvas and comes in charcoal/navy/grey colours.
It also says it requires no cutting/body modification. Pretty crazy stuff...and super expensive as it says 760,000 yen plus 120,000 installation cost!

I actually like wagons, but the idea of an LS wagon is on the "meh" side... I highly doubt it would even function like one, considering that the trunk is sealed off from the cabin. I mean, the proportions are all off.
On a somewhat related note, here's my Junction Produce LS400 Ute that I made many moons ago in Photoshop.

I would have no problem rocking one of those as a tow pig. Heck, now you guys have me wanting to build one for real...
I foresee the following issues
Other than that, basically extend the trunk lid into a sort of tonneau cover and we'll be golden!
I foresee the following issues
- Lack of structural rigidity (I'm lopping off half of the roof, which is built into the frame of the car, though I could have some roll bars fabricated, like those 240 pickup conversions.)
- Gas tank location (it sits smack dab in the middle of the trunk, with some pretty carpet in place, so relocating it/disguising it would be interesting...)
- Bye-bye Lexus aerodynamics
