Front Passenger Auto Up Window Issue
1999 LS400
So, when I use the auto up feature on my front passenger window it goes up about 2 inches and then comes back down by itself. Anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it? I did a search, but didn't come up with anything.

The pinch protection feature is kicking in. You will have to determine why it is binding. Will likely require removing the trim panel. First try pulling up the glass with your fingers while somebody else works the switch.

The window motor may need to be retimed. Which requires removing the window motor from the regulator. While the motor is plugged in hit the auto down button and wait until the motor stops spinning. Then mark a tooth and hold up on the switch(not auto up) and count 8 revolutions. Put it back together and it the pinch protection will work again.
