Default '93 Nakamichi deck pin out needed- long trip coming

My 93 LS has the Nak premuim sound system- (amp is in the trunk on top of the CD player). Well, "premium sound" rarely came out of it so that's a bit of a misnomer. Anyhow, I've ordered a number of aftermarket stereo install kits online, and finally got one that snapped into the female end in the dash. Guy must not have gotten the pin-out right, because the tried and true Alpine won't light up and boogie. When you put the Nak back it in lights up but no sound, which was the problem to begin with. It actually worked about 10% of the time, and I grew weary looking for the problem with something I don't want anyhow. I have looked high and low and did not find an ECU for the phone, so can't positively say that the phone mute isn't interfering and given the age of the Nak I'd rather eliminate it anyhow. Who plays cassettes right?

Anyhow, I'm two days away from a cross-country drive in dead silence. My options are two, and somebody on this forum might be able to help me with

#1- if I knew the pin-out of the female side, I'd just cut the wires and solder them directly to the wires coming out of my Alpine.

Oh, Option #2 is a boom box across the back seat. Not real cool but on the table at the moment.

Dude, just pony up the funds and go to your local car stereo store and they can install a basic system for only $100. You can get a basic Alpine bluetooth deck for $100, driving your four speakers on about 50w of deck power.

Default Thank you for the post- more info below

Emp= thanks for that advice which I might resort to. But I already own the $1000 Alpine media center and I wired the WY penitentiary- I can do this. I just want to know what they know at the stereo store- what wire goes where on the other side of the factory pin block- I'm six to eight solder connects away from where I need to be. Somebody has to know this on here.

You can figure that out when you return from your cross-country trip. Take no chances before your cross-country trip, dude.

I'm 99% certain I've posted the 93-94 Nak diagram in the past. Try searching for Nakamichi and my member name.

Edit: Here is an old thread in which I posted the diagram for a 93-94 LS400 Nakamichi: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ls4...nd-system.html
