Default 92 LS400 noob here

hey whats up guys and gals. been looking into getting one of these for a while now and finally pulled the trigger. i bought the car pretty cheap, and now know the reason for it being so cheap.

funny story, the day i got "the white whale" i took her to get a smog. the car passed with flying colors, which surprised me. after driving 10+ miles after the smog the check engine light came on. just my luck. i rushed to do an oil change figuring that might do the trick but nothing. the light has came on and off the past couple of days.

i think shes due for some new wires and plugs to see if that will solve it.

any suggestions?

you can buy an inexpensive OBDII scanner for $50 or so. These will also allow you to erase the codes to see if the problem is re-occuring.

Yoshiman... too funny dude... thanks for the laugh of the morning....

And yes, I purchased the cheap Amazon OBDII scanner, and can tell you it works great.
