Default Product review: Carbon Covers Lexus LS 95-00 Piano Black B-Pillar Covers

I have recently been dissatisfied with the way my b-pillars on my 97 LS400 look. The car is 16 years old and they were quite faded. After doing some looking around at my options, I decided not to just cover them with vinyl because they would ultimately fade again. I decided to pick up a kit on ebay from a company called Carbon Covers and I have to say I'm very impressed. The fit and finish is second to none. I chose the piano black super poly carbonate covers and you can hardly tell the difference between them and the side glass. They are constructed of super poly carbonate that is scratch and chemical resistant.

I snapped a few pics of before, during, and after to help show the difference these made.

During

After

Here is a link to their ebay store:

They are the manufacturer of this product and stand behind it 100%. If you aren't happy, they can fix any problems that you have.

They make pillars for any make/model car.

Those look hella sexy, not going to lie. I love how they practically blend in with the windows from afar. I'll definitely be looking into getting these at some point in the near future.

Hmm, interesting.

I like the idea, but worry about the durability of plastic (polycarbonate covers after all) vs. just repainting that part of the frame.

My A pillars are showing lots of chrome or whatever is behind the black so I was thinking of painting those as well when I get a respray. Wondering if I should just do the B pillars too or pick up some of these.

This^. I need to look into the cost of painting the A-pillars. With the B-pillars all nice and shiny, now the A-pillars look like damnit. lol

for the windshield trim (what I am guessing you guys mean when you refer to the A-pillars fading) you can polish them out if you wish.

Looks good! I will be placing the carbon ones.

Does anybody know if there are carbon side-mirror-covers?

I'm talking about the inside of the trim closes to the windshield that exposes the chrome or steel underneath.

Woohoo! Okay, here is the best part about this kit!

I got them for FREE!!! In the instruction of the kit it states that if you write an honest review and post it to a car forum you will be refunded $20. As well as an additional $5 for every site after that. ****.yes.com
I posted this here, westkyimports , and vip style cars for a grand total of $30. Exactly what I paid for them. :P
