Default 5Zigen Wheels Question.

Hey guys, this isn't really car-related but is concerning my wheels.

So, bonehead move, I curbed the **** out of my RR rim taking a corner way too wide.

Bottom line, the lip is ruined. But I don't know if you guys are familiar with this, but the lip is actually just a polished metal cover glued over the rim itself.

Picture;

I don't know if you can tell, but yeah the polished lip is just glued over top. That's all I need to replace.

I took my wheel to a local custom wheel shop and they've told me they can't find the lip and therefore cannot repair my wheel, and suggested I buy a new rim from 5zigen. Bull****! This cover must cost less than a hundred bucks.

So my question is, does anybody know where I can find this lip cover for a 3" lip? I can't find it anywhere.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Calling 5Zigen whether the trim is a repair option would be my suggestion.

Thats how my old wheels were. Not sure about yours, but the lip on mine wrapped around to the backside of the wheel. If they are like mine and you got your hands on another lip, I'm not really sure how you would get the new lip on without bending the outside surface. I guess a wheel shop could do it. Good luck with this!
