Default Cluster died and car stopped shifting from first

Hello,
I opened the cluster frame, held it in my hands while it was lighting. Unscrewed the cluster and held it while it was lighting too. Car was off. Suddenly it died. No lights none of the gauges are working. Moreover, I started the car and drove... It dis not shift from first and of course unburned fuel is smelled. Where did I go wrong?
Let me add that front windows not responding! Seems like electrical fault had occurred. Which thing connects all those together?
Ls400 94

Help please
Thanks

Have you checked the fuses?

I have. Under, in the driver's foot well and in th engine infront of the radiator water container. Is there anywhere else I should check? Please let me know.
Thanks
Note: I thought it might have to do with the ECU, unplugged one and tried a spare ECU I keep, but invain.
What is the electrical parts that all of them have in common? I mean, cluster, all windows switches and transmission!

Not sure the shifting is related but there is a fuseable link that powers the dash, climate controll, radio and windows. It is a 120 link I think. It is located inside the little box attached to the engine side of the fuse box that sits behind the battery under the hood.

Thank you for taking the time to answer.
I have checked all those fuses in the box. I know I had a problem with one of them before "the circled one in the attached image" but it has been done before and am not sure if it is related.

Can someone tell me what is this fuse for?

Many thanks

The battery was connected while doing this work? Really need to disconnect the battery when unplugging and plugging in electrical connections. Do you have a continuity tester to test the fuses?
