just do what i do. Subaru WRX for the winter...LS400 for the summer.

To add on the whole thing with the amount of room undernieth the car:

Although I obviously can't speak for the JDM Aristo AWD models, The late model Lexus's with AWD have SIGNIFICANTLY different floorpans than their RWD counterparts, in that the center "transmission humps" are larger and intrude into the cabin more to make room for the said 4WD system.

The floormats alone are a dead giveaway to the differences, for example:
