first, scan the codes, clear them, then scan again after driving and report them back here

I have similar problem. It idles fine and drive fine until I want to pass someone on the highway when I press the accelerator it feels like it hesitates or sputters for bit but never dies. Any ideas? Possible TPS?

This is just my experience but I think I'd better to write. The car had leaking capacitors in the ECU. They were all replaced and most of the strange problems were gone but it still had minor sputters at around 2000 rpm+ only.

To make a rather long story short, cleaning the air flow meter fixed the problem. The car had been owned by a single owner for more than 16 years and it was the first time for him to clean it.

Why don't you scan the codes as LScowboyLS has guided?

OBDI cars don't need a scanner, they need a paperclip and the ability to count.
go read the link the very first poster put in his reply.

When you say hollow them out you mean cut out the inside? If so, how you did it what you use?
