I have done a ton of searching and cant seem to find the front shock / strut bumpers for a 1991 LS 400

If you have suspension clunk, this is related to the strut bar bushings.

Actually I am in the process of replacing the strut rod bushings (paid $170.00 each..ouch) what I am speaking of is the bumpers on the shock rod itself.

The magic word "spring bumper" thank you! Is OEM the only solution for this? $21.00 each plus shipping seems high

Looking at my notes from when I did all my '91 struts, etc. The name (for me) was listed as "bumper, front", PN 48331-50010, list was $24.23, and I paid $16.43.

You can't see how badly chewed up the old one is until you have it apart. It could be that you don't need to replace them.

How many miles on your car? What are you replacing? I did shocks, mounts, bumpers, insulators (bellows), and strut bushings since I wanted to get it all done at once. Turns out I replaced a bunch of things that were in fine shape - shock mounts, etc. were fine but I replaced anyway since I had the new parts in hand. KYB struts and mounts, Genuine Toyota for the rest of them.

My front suspension is completely torn down and the "bumpstops" are chewed. Where did you get yours?

KYB makes them iirc, can be had for cheap on ebay/amazon/rockauto
