1000 to 1200. if they know what they are doing. and find someone who knows, since you dont. it seems like your LS is a little bit neglected. from time to time they need a little upkeep,

19 mpg combined in winter sounds quite good - have you had this car long? I sometimes get far worse than that in winter and I've had my 00 LS almost 10 years. There's not much to "tune up" on these cars. From 99-up, the tune-up interval is 120,000 miles. The original spark plugs on my 2000 LS400 looked like new when I had them replaced at 120,000 miles and the engine didn't run any differently with new spark plugs. Ran perfectly before and after the 120,000 mile service.

The timing belt service was due at 90,000 miles or 72 months. Lexus dealer charges for the 90,000 mile service can easily exceed $1,500 but indie shops should charge less. Be aware that LS timing belts rarely break - it's a failing water pump, idler or tensioner that trashes the timing belt - be sure to replace those too.

a complete timing belt job by a mech is about a $1500 job since it is very labor intensive, but very straight forward. if you are mechanically savvy, you can do it yourself and save $900 on labor. there are lots of details procedures here to guide you!

as for the bank sensor, our cars have 4 of them (2 before cat, and 2 after). if one goes out, you can almost be certain the other side will go soon as well.
