93 LS400 - Aftermarket Wheel / Tire ???

Hey ya'all,
I spent the last hour or so searching here and on google so please be patient :uh: - :) Working with Jeeps all these years and you would think I knew something about Rims and Fitment - shees - hahaha :p

I got my eye on some Rims and for the life of me I don't know if they will fit.

My 93 LS400 will be Dropped 1".

The Rims are: 17x9 +30

The Tires Are: 225/45/17

The offset and width have me concerned.

Thanks in advance for the input.

you're running the wrong tire size. Too small and too narrow (mild stretch that you do NOT need by any means.)

correct 17" size for a 9" wide wheel that conservative is a 245/50-17.

Rears will be fine, fronts may need a roll/shave.

Thanks PD - I appreciate it. I am skipping on this set and going to stick with something I won't need to do any fender mods.

Going to find a 17x7 - 8 or a 18x7 - 8.5 with 35 to 40 offset then go from there :-)

Guess I'll hop on this thread to ask a wheel question. I've been doing some online research, but I know nothing about wheel fitments. I've bought wheels in the past but I've been able to test fit before I bought them. So now I'm looking online at a set of wheels that are 18x7.5 with a 45 offset all the way around. Can anybody tell me what the fitment would be like? 1992 LS

I would also like to go probably around 2 inches lower, but that is probably far from happening at this point.

Thanks
