Default 1991 ls400 skipping idle and missing when cold/wet outside.

I have a 91 Ls400 with 110k on it. it seems only when its wet outside that it skips and has the rough idle.
after the car warms up it seems to go away. I'm thinking about trying to replace the spark plugs, wires and cap and rotor. I was wondering if there is anything else I should look into replacing as well.

thanks for your help

replace the spark plugs, wires and cap and rotor.
there are 2 caps and 2 rotors, and they are not the 5 minute job they are on most cars.

I found a diy on lexls http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/ignition/sparkplugs.html.

I'm going to order the parts later today and do the work next week when I have some time off.

thanks for the help

I highly recommend that you don't cheap out, but rather, stick with genuine Toyota OEM parts on these critically important items like wires, caps, rotors and temp sensor.

the guys here on CL will be happy to help you on finding these dealership parts at a huge discount, but I strongly recommend NOT going to Autozone etc. (except Advance or O'reilly or Autozone or Rock Auto are fine for the wires and plugs, as long as you stick with the OEM brands of NipponDenso and NGK)

Sewell Lexus has very good Club Lexus member discount on the caps, rotors, and Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor, close to 30% on most dealership items
