New here, introducing myself and my UCF10
Hello, my name is Van and I've been lurking around here for a while and decided to introduce myself & my car.
I picked this up Friday (11/30/12) out of Grand Ledge, MI. 1990 LS400, 219k miles (up to 222k now), tan leather, (almost) everything works.
When I got it
It needed tires, so I ordered some General Altimax winters. Needs hood struts, Factory CD changer doesn't work (didn't expect it to), climate control LCD is black, and the Traction Control is inop. Other then that the car is fine and drives great, it was my most comfortable trip from Lansing ever (and we drove my dad's Lucerne there). The only annoying detail is that it is missing one of the factory rear floormats.
Radio is a JVC double-din unit with USB input & PANDORA (still have the original unit) and the power antenna still works, it has new Infinity KAPPA speakers, but the factory sub has been removed. All power windows work, gauges, sunroof, lights, heat & A/C.
Hopefully I can keep this car for over a year (my current track record would prove otherwise), but I don't think I would get bored with it.
A few weeks ago
Tool kit
First Aid kit
From earlier today
Near-Future plans for this are:
-Plugs/wires
-Replacing the fuel pump
-Finding a seat belt that isn't black
-Magnaflow exhaust system

welcome!
how is the maintenance on it? - have you thought about draining and filling the transmission? - that tranny fluid could be 23 years old!
when you do the plugs and wires, caps & rotors wouldn't be a bad idea either, and look at the condition of the timing belt while you have the cam covers off doing the caps
