Default Eagle Eye's and HID's installed

Ok, so I got the headlights in today. Purchased them from another member on here. I already had my HID's installed in the factory headlights. These are 55w 8k HID's. I will be sticking with the factory corners for now, but I am planning on doing some custom mods to the corners to get rid of the ricey look. I also plan on getting some HID's for the fogs too. I'll go with a 35w 3k setup. Here's a couple pics, and I'll take some more when I get home from work tonight.

This picture is with the stock lamps and HID's. For some reason my car had two different headlamps on it with different beam patterns. Not to mention the brackets were all busted and I couldn't adjust them.

Here's the new lights

Like I said, I'll post the after pics in a couple hours when I get home.

Like I promised here are some pictures.

For some reason my phone made these look super super blue, but they are not near that blue in person.

Low beam from about 15ft

High beam from about 15ft

Low beam from about 35ft

High beam from about 35ft

I might try switching the shields on the HID's around. Currently they are on the bottom side of the bulb. Not really sure if it would make a difference.

quality 9003/H4 casper shields are supposed to have tabs to locate them in the headlight housing, some even have pins so that you can plug the D2R/D2S/D2c bulb you're using into them properly. (DO NOT use conversion bulbs, you need to use a D2x bulb with casper shields)

This is what you should end up with:

The kit I bought is a High/low kit and I think that might be why they work. I could be wrong on this, but I think when you buy the Low only kits they use the power from the high beams and the car thinks you have them turned on. Thats why they say you have to switch the wires on the harness of either the kit or the car for them to work. My setup basicly just plugged right in and works great. The only thing I had to do is run a couple grounds and a power wire, because it draws straight from the batt.

As far as your trader score goes..... Could an admin update that? The sale went great and the lights were just as described.

beam pattern is much better and evenly distributed!

i am curious if eagle eyes are made for LHD cars or RHD cars. one way you can tell is if the beam pattern has a slight flare to the left (RHD cars) or right (LHD cars). FYI this flare is to light up side-road signs and sidewalks on the opposite side of the driver. i cannot tell from your pictures.

It's funny you ask that. I didn't think of that when I was adjusting them. They COULD be for a RHD car, because they shine slighty more to the left. I have them adjusted just enough so they are head on, but not so much so the lights still stay fairly flush with eachother. If I wanted them to shine slighty to the right the lights would look uneven.

unfortunately you cannot change the flare, due to the design nature of the housings. you can simply minimize it to on coming drivers by adjusting them low. but of course that means they will be too low for you. i haven't had a problem with glare on my RHD lights on my other car, you'd just get an occasional high-beam flash from an oncoming car. i just flash em back .
