Default Resonator delete with OEM tips

Been searching and can't find much info. Wondering if anyone's taken out both resonators and kept the stock tips, does it sound decent or like ******? Cause if it doesn't sound good I don't think i'll do it. Can't find that many good quality video's on youtube.

That's how I want mine to sound but i think his tips help add some extra sound ...
Any help would be appreciated

removing the 2 stock resonators and keeping the stock mufflers won't make much of a difference in terms of exhaust note. you will barely even be able to hear the exhaust drone during 1-2k rpms. i currently have all 3 resonators deleted and i kept the stock mufflers on too, sounds pretty good. not loud at all. slight noticeable drone.

Aw okay, where's the third resonator though? I know theres two almost at the middle of the car, and a cat a bit before them.

Joshcar - who's car is that? I'm loving the sattin black he has going on. I think that his exhaust should have been 3" quads insted of 4" duals.

No idea, just a video I found. But I saw in one of the comments that that was just the primer, honestly I would just keep it like that looks sick maybe get a matte clear coat to protect it though. I agree quads would have looked a lot better, but the duals are not to bad lol. Hopefully later I might get some magnaflow quads

^which on some cars for some odd reason is actually a 3rd cataytic converter. (there have been 2 part numbers confirmed). however since it's not a monitored cat it has no effect on the car's ecu.

all '89-00 LS400s have the same basic exhaust layout of 2 cats, center resonator (3rd cat on some cars), 2 resonators, and 2 mufflers. there's a link to an exhaust design thread in the stickies with more info.

Did you remove all 3 of your cats?

my old '95 and my '99 didnt have the 3rd cat. the 3rd cat equipped cars were mostly all 1st gen, and it's been pretty random in my experience.
