Factory Theft System won't activate HELP!
 

Hey guys, my door handle on my 96 LS400 had cracked into two separate peices, so i bought a new one and installed it, every since then the theft system won't activate:egads:. Also the key is hard to turn, but still locks and unlocks door, anyone have any expierence with this?

It sounds like there is a problem with the installation of the new door handle, the lock should not be stiff and if it is something is causing it.
On the end of the lock is a small microswitch which if not correctly fitted may cause the alarm problem.
You really need to go back and recheck the work carried out, if the alarm was OK before the handle change it must be that which is now causing a problem.
