Question, would you have to roll your fenders to roll on SC430 wheels using OEM tires? Going to test fit them on Wednesday, but can't run them since I need an alignment and don't want to get an alignment if I do suspension work in the short future. So I won't be able to tell unless it's really that obvious...

245/40 tires
Ichiba 15mm front spacers
Ichiba 25mm rear spacers

EDIT: Nevermind, this answered it perfectly and I can see that fender rolling needs to be done asap... I really wonder how he rolls around with just that much clearance, hitting a dip must be scary...

I did not roll for 245/40. But they just barely do not need it. The tires do not touch the fender at all. Even with the suspension compressed. I know it looks like they will but the wheel goes up and angles in as the suspension is compressed. 245/45, which is the correct tire for the LS may rub a little. We are different generations and I don't know if that matters.

hmm.. so thats what a 245/40 looks like.. I might switch after i run through my two sets of 245/45s i have for my rears. Maybe I need to do some burn outs.. I guess it depends if I really want to haul a trailer or not. different tires different load ratings..

I'm running 245/45 offset +15 in the rear. Its rolled and pulled. I need to cut the tabs since I'm tucking tire and it rubs if i turn hard. I dont think i can fit a credit card between the arch and my tire.

Here are a few more shots. When I get new tires I will probably switch to 245/45 and have the rears rolled just a little.

those wheels turned out great. Kinda makes me rethink paying the extra for the LS430 wheels

Before you had the tires installed, I should have asked you what the wheel weight was. Most the the factory 95-00 wheel combos hit ~52#'s.

I have a set of SC430 wheels, not the pie dishes though that I can ghetto-weigh with the scale in my bathroom if you want... lol.

My guess would be between 35 - 40lbs. I picked them up and moved them around a few times but I did not weigh them.

Thanks for putting it on the scale. That is heavier than I would have thought.

They are heavy wheels. I know they vary in width as well as solid front or chrome. Mine are 8.5 inches wide and some are 8. Mine don't feel heavier then about 40 lbs, with tires. I think it added 40 - 50 lbs to the car. Changing the springs removed 10 - 15.

Here is an old post too.

Those look good. I wasn't so sure but after seeing them installed, looks nice. Had the 6 spoke LS430 17" wheels on my 99 but found some very nice chrome LS430 7 spoke wheels. Here are a few pics. The 7 spokes should have been offered with the LS400 all along...if they were around.

6 spoke

7 spoke
