Question Down shifting? Dump valve?

First I want t thank you all for your help up front.

I bought a 94 LS 400 last week.
83k miles.

Let me get to it. The is expensive and I would rather not pay if I don't have to.

At freeway speed when I put the brake on it feels like it is down shifting. it is very annoying. This only happens when I am above 2nd. If I shift into neutral and than apply the brake it does not happen. Usually it will lurch forward when I put it back into gear though.

Second question
it is air ride and the bags are fine but it will bleed off all the pressure with no cause and I am wondering where to start here. It is only in the rear. Sometimes the pump with engage and cycle without inflate the bags. It seams that a dump valve is opening for some reason. The draining sound is coming from the back I don't know where cause I cant stay under to find it.
Relay? ECU?

I need to get this figured out before it damages the pump and the bags.

I don't quite understand what you mean, if you are doing 55mph and the transmission is in 4th ( overdrive) pressing the brakes momentarily won't cause the transmission to shift down umless the speed drops significantly.
If you are having strange shifting problems search for the trunk hinge wiring problem.
Sorry no idea on the AS problem but if you need to jack the car to investigate be sure to turn the AS off by moving the switch located in the toolkit area in the trunk.

So I took a look at the bending point on the trunk harness and found a break in the White with Black stripe wire . Repaired the wire and the breaking clunk is now gone and the reverse light on the dash does not come on anymore with the break peddle.

I have no idea what that wire has to do with the trans or dash but ha.... thanks a bunch.

Did you get new springs too?? And top mounts? If you are good at that kinda work and have all tools probably 4 hours.

Lexls.com might have the answer. It's also posted somewhere on here. Welcome.
