Default Safety door lock problem

Hi. i have an 89 celsior and i know these cars came out with a 30kmph safety feature which cycles all doors to lock at that speed, but with mine, once i reach that 30kmph cycle it keeps trying to constantly lock itself over and over till i stop the car even though the doors are already locked. Any way of fixing or stopping this. Thanks.

my old twin turbo soarer did the same at 30kms but didnt keep cycling locks after it did it the first time, thats why im puzzled as to why my celsior keeps trying to constantly lock even when it already is.

My 98 Celsior once had a cycling problem but it only repeated 4 times after it reached a certain speed. A JDM UCF20/21 has the retry function of 4 times, probably a UCF10/11is the same. In my case, after fixing the door lock/unlock actuator the problem was disappeared.

When happening, the passengers side door was not fully locked and the door computer has tried to lock it 4 times but the motor inside of the actuator did not have enough torque. Thus the computer stopped to drive the motor. In your case, YAKOOZ, the cycling continues till you stop the car and it may be caused by the malfunction of the computer which is located in the door unit, I think.

This is just my assumption but judging from the age of the car, the electrolytic capacitors in the door computer unit might be deteriorated. The locking needs a big current and it generates ripples and noise at the DC line. The old capacitors may not have a good capability to eliminate those. Replacing them might fix the problem as is the same with the ECU issues currently discussed at the forum.
