audio issue-93 pioneer deh 4400 hd...oem amp
so this has happened twice since ive owned the car, (about 2.5 months)
ill be listening to the radio, on a lower volume, and intermittantly the speakers will static, ive always thought it was the station, so id change stations, or blue tooth my phone. static still there. 1st time this happened i had no audio for about 4 hours.
this time it lost audio at about lunchtime yesterday, and hasnet came back.
the way the PO installed the radio, it has 4 rca preouts in the rear, those are running to the OEM amp, and then to the aftermarket speakers. the radios working, verified by tying a tweter into the normal speaker out puts on the back of the radio. ive checked the fuse for the radio under the hood, its good. is there a seperate fuse for the amp? circuit breaker maybe? like the gm designed time release dealio's?
my future plans are to run the door speakers thru the speaker channels out the back of the radio, and just leave the sub channel running to the oem amp and sub.....will this work?
any timely help will be appreciated, i gotta make a road trip to tampa from atlanta tomorrow, and its gonna absolutely suck without a radio, and droning dual exhaust.
