Default just got my 1992 ls400

just got my ls400 about 2 weeks ago, 1992 with 55k miles. so today, started it up and tranny would not engage into reverse or drive. lights didn't work, a/c was not cooling. then after a minute or so, started it up and everything was fine?

what should i do? look for? has anyone every had their car scanned at auto zone? should i just buy a scanner and if so what brand name? thanks for the help.

First, Welome to the club and congrats on the low miles. Im sorry to hear you alreadt have problems,

Ive had my 95 scanned there a few times. It will only help if your throwing a cel.
But you have a 92 which is obd1. The cel codes can be read by connecting two fuses with a paperclip, then counting the check engine light flashes. Do a seach on reading 1st gen codes and youll see the full process.
