Key wont open/turn any door, 1996 LS400
Hi all,
So my uncle gave me a 1996 LS4000, 96,000 miles.
He only had one key, the wallet key (gray).
The key start the car (ignition) no problem, but it does not open any door.
Can anyone suggest what i should do, or tell me what might be wrong?

are you sure he didn't have the ignition replaced at some point?

I don't know if the ignition ever got changed. it does not look new from the outside.
Once i register the car i will make a master key from sewell, and if the door still does not open i should get a remote started/keyless entry from eBay?

Does anyone know what remote starter/keyless entry works best with this lexus model?
Also, could the problem be with the lexus security disabling the door? if so, how do i reset it?
